Must-watch Qualifiers
Jamaica vs Guatemala (June 10)
A top-two finish is required to advance to the third round in CONCACAF, and Jamaica vs Guatemala in June looks like being one of the region’s closest FIFA qualifiers 2025 matchups. Both teams have six points at present, with Guatemala leading the group on goal difference.
Jamaica remain favourites to finish top, not least because the Reggae Boyz have made good use of their diaspora, recruiting British-born players like Ethan Pinnock, Ravel Morrison and the currently injured Michail Antonio. Can Guatemala spring a surprise in Kingston?
Costa Rica vs Trinidad & Tobago (June 10)
We have got used to seeing Costa Rica on the biggest stage in recent years and it would be a surprise if they were to miss out in 2026 given that USA, Mexico and Canada are already out of the way in CONCACAF qualification.
Trinidad & Tobago famously qualified for the 2006 edition and they would love to make it back to the big stage 20 years later. They are second in the group at present, but Costa Rica’s home advantage makes them favourites for this clash in June.
Haiti vs Curacao (June 10)
Group C in CONCACAF looked intriguing from the start. Haiti and Curacao occupy positions two and one in the group, so both teams will be pleased with how the campaign has gone to date. This meeting in June will probably determine who wins the group.
Haiti possess impressive attacking firepower in Frantzdy Pierrot and Duckens Nazon, while Curacao have succeeded in signing up several players born in the Netherlands thanks to their Dutch manager Dick Advocaat.
